Housing

The Kongju National University dormitories include five buildings, and accommodate a total of 4,365 students, including 2,773 students at Gongju Campus, 582 students at Yesan Campus and 234 students at Cheonan Campus. Indeed, Kongju National University hosts the largest number of students in its residences of any of Korea’s national universities. Foreign students are given priority for dormitory rooms upon acceptance.

Application Procedure
- Government scholarship students and exchange students: submit application to OIA
- New students and transferred students: Submit application to department
- Registered students: Submit application directly to the dormitory
Payment of Dormitory Fees
- Click [Print the Dormitory Fees] in the pop-up window of the KNU website or the dormitory website. Print the bill and pay it at Nonghyup.
- New and transferred foreign students may pay the dormitory fees after entrance.

- Dormitory Rules

  • 1. Students who damage public facilities are responsible for compensation.
  • 2. Students shall not change the layout of beds, cabinets, desks and chairs in their rooms without permission, nor shall they post anything on the walls or the door.
  • 3. Students shall not smoke in the dorm rooms, keep inflammable goods (gas and oil), or use electronic mats or other heating devices.
  • 4. Guests shall not enter the dormitory. Men shall not enter the women’s dormitories, and women shall not enter the men’s dormitories.
  • 5. Students shall not make noise or otherwise disturb the learning activities of others.
  • 6. Students shall separate their waste and dispose them in the waste bins located in the hallways of each floor.
  • 7. Students shall not bring foodstuff into the dorm rooms, nor have food delivered to the dormitories.
  • 8. Students shall wear slippers only in the dormitories.
  • 9. As the dormitories are public places, students shall wear clean clothes, use polite language, behave well and keep quiet.
  • 10. Students shall comply with the dormitory rules, public ethics and public etiquette. Students who have left the dormitory shall return to the dormitory by the time of roll call.
  • 11. Students shall not keep valuable goods in their dorm rooms. Dormitory management shall not be responsible for theft or the loss of valuable goods.
  • 12. Students who have received eleven black marks shall be discharged from their dormitories.

1) arson, theft, violence, defamation, gambling, releasing others Mail, etc.

7) Sleep out is only applicable on weekdays (Mon-Thu).
8) Carrying in liquor, drinking, smoking, cooking, making noise, breeding pet, unauthorized room changes, do not return the supplied goods, poor room cleaning, trash dumping, and wearing the outdoor shoes in the room ,etc. in dormitory.

- Withdrawal Procedure

Students may withdraw from the dormitory during the semester when required to do so by personal circumstances. Students shall fill out and submit the application for withdrawal, which can be obtained from the Administrative Center of each dormitory. Meal expenses and accommodation expenses will be refunded based on the table of refund amounts, after students submit their application for withdrawal.
1. Applications for withdrawal are accepted on Wednesdays, and the date of withdrawal shall be the Saturday of the week in which the student submits the application.

Guest House

Foreign guests who visit Kongju National University for official purposes may use the guest house.
